Price Range
There is accommodation in Saskatoon to suit any budget. You can stay at the local Hostel for only dollars a day, or you can stay in hotel suites that are good enough for visiting prime ministers.

Pricing is seasonal. Summer is high season in the Saskatoon area being vacation and travel season. Saskatoon hotels are popular with both Canadians traveling across the country to points east or west, and also for rural residents making it a "shopping weekend" in the big city. Area hotels are also more expensive over holidays and long weekends. Fall (September to December) and spring (April to June) are definitely the less expensive times to visit. Each hotel's dates for high, low, and shoulder seasons differ a bit so watch your timing or your hotel.

Location
Idylwyld Drive's Motel Row The desired location of the hotel depends on the purpose of your visit. We have grouped the hotels by "Area" to assist you with selecting appropriate accommodation. The Area is in most cases, the city in which a hotel is located. Inside the City of Saskatoon, we also list the part of town.

If you are in Saskatoon on business, you would want a hotel in the Downtown core. Several hotels are within walking distance (or a $4 to$8 cab ride) of downtown shopping, the many restaurants and the nightlife. These hotels are also relatively close ($20 taxi) to the airport. There are some value-conscious hotels in the Downtown area. You can walk to downtown or to Meewasin Trail from most downtown hotels.

If you are here for power-shopping for the family, there are plenty of hotels along Idylwyld Dr, northwest of downtown, and just south of the airport. These hotels are only a mile from the downtown core, two from the Confederation Park Mall, and convenient (via the Idylwyld Bridge) from the 8th Street Shopping paradise.

If you are travelling across Canada along the TransCanada Highway (#16) , or if you are planning to arrive or depart from the Saskatoon Airport, you'll find anything on Idylwyld Drive quite convenient.
