Transportation: Buses
If you are travelling as a group, or if you are travelling alone, taking the bus makes a lot of sense. Saskatoon has several bus-friendly transportation options for the traveller.
The main bus line in Saskatoon in the government owned Saskatchewan Transportation Co.,
covering most of the province (three runs to Saskatoon, daily). Another major line in Western Canada
is Greyhound, especially for those who are travelling out of province (1 800 661 8747). Because
the city lies on the Yellowhad Highway, the northern route of the Trans-Canada
Highway, there are regular connections east to Brandon and Winnipeg and west to Edmonton
(and points beyond). For charters or custom tours, the leading bus lines are
Frontier Coach Lines and Prince Albert Northern.
NOTE: If you are doing long distance travel, do not disount the train. VIA Rail
trains arrive and depart regularly from the train station, which is ocated 15 minutes from the city centre.
You can also charter a bus for special group travel, whether its a company or
team visiting the city, a ball game, or going skiing.
