Homes: Confederation Park / Westview

This area lies north of 22nd Street and lies northwest of Circle Drive, anchored by Confederation Park Mall. It has good access out of town via highway 7, and is close too JohnG Diefenbaker International Airport.

Westview is a suburban community developed though the 1970s and 1980s with come homes in the area completed in the late 1990s. Confederation Park, Pacific Heights and Massey lies south of 33rd Street W and centred around Parc Canada, a 40 acre park area. The street names are named for famous Canadians, mostly prime ministers and governors gneral. The communities of Dundonald and Westview lie north of 33rd St W (with Junor Ave dividing the two) and have about 3,500 residents.

Schools

Confederation Park has 3 public elementary and 3 Catholic elementary schools and a public library just north of Confederation Park Mall. Westview has two public elementary schools and 1 Catholic elementary school. All area students attend Mount Royal High School just east of Circled Drive or ED Feehan in Westmount

Shopping

The Confederation Suburban Centre anchors the community in the south, with the Fairhaven Plaza adjacent, and there is a Saskatoon Co-Op grocery store on 33rd Street.

Recreation

The community has a number of small and mid-sized parks between 3 and 17 acres. the Westview Community Association holds sports and recreational programs at Caroline Robins School. The Cosmos Civic Centre is just north of Confederation Park Mall.

Homes

The population of Westview was 3,500 in 2006, with a 60% home ownership ratio, and average home values of $148,387 (2006).
